French Pear Pie ala Creme'

Ingredients:

  • 1 Regular Pie Crust unbaked
  • 6 Pears
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • STREUSEL TOPPING
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • Sliced Almonds

Put regular pie crust in pie pan and crimp edges. Peel & slice pears and arrange in pie shell. Mix sugar, ginger & cinnamon together and sprinkle over pears. Beat together egg & sour cream. Pour over pears.
STREUSEL TOPPING:
Mix flour sugar & cinnamon together. Cut in butter with pastry cutter. Top pie with streusal topping and sprinkle sliced almonds over the top of the pie. Bake @ 350 degrees about 50-60 minutes or until juices are bubbling and pie is done.
