Bavarian Peach Pie

Ingredients:

  • I unbaked pie shell
  • 2 cups canned peaches, drained well
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted margarine

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place pie shell in pan. In a larger bowl blend 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, sour cream, egg, and vanilla. Stir in drained peaches and put peach/sour cream mixture in pie shell. Melt margarine and stir in 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour and cinnamon. Mixture will be thick like a soft paste. Drop by small spoonfuls over peach filling. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking about 30 - 40 minutes more. Serves 6 - 8
